“Cheer up amigo! There are plenty of fish in the sea!” Antonio said trying to get Gilbert to buck  up.

Francis sighed “Antonio I don’t think you’re getting it. Gilbert doesn’t want any other fish… do you?” He turned to Gilbert

Gilbert was slouched down in his chair not paying any attention to his two friends.

“How about we go out to the bar tonight? Si?” Antonio said

Gilbert only nodded…

Ah yes, the designated driver yet again.

“Another pop please.” You said as the bartender chuckled and got you the drink.

“Sucks being the DD huh lass?” He said in a Scottish accent

“Yeah, it sure does…” You sighed

You scanned the bar, everyone but was having a drink, but when the door opened  “Oh Gilbert~” You looked over to the door as he walked in a girl immediately attaching herself to him.

“Nein, get off…” He said pushing her away a bit harshly

You HAD to chuckled. Though you were still a bit pissed at seeing him.

But when he saw you his eyes widened and he slipped away from Francis and Antonio.

“Uhh… H-Hallo..” He said…nervously?

You rolled  your eyes. “Hi.”

“Can I sit here?” He said pointing to the stool next to yours.

“I guess.”

“So, how have you been?” He asked taking the seat.

“Fine.”

“Ja? Zat’s gut, umm… can I tell you somezing?”

“Go a head.”

“Vhat ever I did to you, I’m sorry. I vasn’t trying to get you to sleep vith me. And I understand if you don’t vant to be vith someone so unawesome like me…”

You looked up from your glass and tilted your head. “I’m not sure if you’re being sincere or not… how do I know you’re not lying again?”

“I vasn’t lying to begin vith… I just vanted-“

“Gilbert!” Your drunk friend came up “Leave her alone! She’s not going to give her first time to someone like you!”

You blushed madly, now the whole bar knew you were a virgin… and now so did Gilbert…

“V-Vhat? Her first time…?” He asked surprised. He looked at you “Keseseseses ok, I get it now… come on let’s go on a real date.” He said grabbing you by the arm and dragging you out of the bar.

“B-But I-I..” You tried to protest and get away but he was too strong for you.

Once the two of you were out side you finally ripped your arm from his gasp shouted. “What are you some kind of sex demon! A girl denies you and you can’t help but to do what ever it takes to get her!? I’m not going to have sex with you, now or ever!”

He slumped back against his car. “I don’t zink  you understand (Name), sex isn’t what I’m after vith you…”

“Then what is it?!” You snapped

“Can you just give me the chance to prove to you zat I can be….a…gut boyfriend…?”

“If I gave you a chance…you promise not to ask me for sec until I say?” You said shutting your eyes tightly and looking away from him.

“Ja, of course…”

“And… promise to stay away from other girls? If you’re going to be so committed to me then you have to be 100% or I will drop you like a hot potato.”

“I vill do more zan zat! If I go out, ve go out together! If I vant a drink, ve vill drink together! Unless of course you don’t vant to drink zen ve von’t.” He gave you a big grin.

“So, then we’re dating?” You asked, still very shocked at yourself for letting him get to this point. But…you couldn’t help it… he was just so….so awesome..

“Ja, now how about a proper date ja?” He said holding his arm out for you.

“Not tonight Gilbert, I’m the DD.”

“Vell z eve vill eat bar food and drink cola! Keseseseses.”

You smiled with a little chuckle “Alright.”

You linked arms with his and walked back into the bar. All eyes were on you as Gilbert walked proudly and you held your head down a bit embarrassed.

“Two of tonight’s specials and two colas!” He said at the bar.

The bartender raised an eye brow at him “What ever you say.”

As you sat talking with him a few girls came up to try and get his attention. But he ignored them. They tried to pull him away but he yanked his arm back. They would hang on him and would push them off. It was quite uncomfortable but he kept ignoring them and pushing them away. Eventually they gave you smug looks and walked away with a snobby ‘humph!’

But the time came when your friend stumbled over to you. “I’m tired~

You sighed “Sorry Gil, I gotta taker her home.” You said a bit saddened as you helped your very drunk friend our of the bar and to the car.

“I’ll take you on a real date tomorrow ja?”

You smiled with a light blush “Sounds awesome.”

Once your friend was secure in the car you closed her door and walked back up to Gilbert. “Thanks.” You whispered in his ear and then kisses his cheek. “You did good tonight.”

You got into your car and drove off. Gilbert held his hand to his now flushed cheek and couldn’t believe what had happened to him this night.

“Gilbert?”

Gilbert turned to Antonio and Francis. “Ja? Vhat do you vant?”

“I just want to know what you have planned.” Francis asked

“A romantic date zat’s vhat.” Gilbert grinned and headed off to him own car.
